Peek at my Week (7~6)

So I am linking up with Mrs. Laffin  for a Peek at my Week.

Today I will be hitting up Office Depot and Staples for the cheap school stuff. Yes, I don’t want to think about it but I also can’t turn down a good deal either.
On Monday I am getting back on track with eating right and going back to the Y to work out. I have let all that go and that has not been a good thing to do. Hoping getting back on track will help with my migraines because they have been coming back lately. I will also be doing the Teachers Write camp. I am really excited about this because writing is not my most favorite subject, so I am hoping this will help me!

My two little ones on leaving Tuesday to go to the beach with my mom. I am hoping they have a great time even though I really wish I could go too!
The rest of the week will just be spent keeping my friends kids and working on things around the house.
I hope everyone has a great week!

Can we cook an egg?

I am linking up with Holly from Fourth Grade Flipper for Tried it Tuesday!

I have always heard the saying it's so hot you could fry and egg. Well I wanted to try it with the kids. So we did. They question was- Can we cook an egg on the road? They all said they thought we could so we decided to try.

Here are the scientist!

So we took our egg out to the road. So glad my friends live on a dead end street at the end of a cul-da-sac. This made it an easy place to try this out.

Here are the pictures of our egg.

We started at 10 am. Here are the kids looking at the egg trying to decide if they thought it would cook or not.

We then checked twice, once at 10:30 and again at 11. We were worried because there didn't seem to be any change at 11. Here are the kids waiting at the edge of the drive way for permission to go to the egg. We don't just run around in the street with no adult around here!

Here they are studying the egg when we checked it at 11.

So then we had lunch and chill out time and went back out at 1. When we got out there, what normally would be the white part of the egg was baked and brown. The yoke had a hard top so we decided to poke it and make it runny. The kids were so excited to see what had happened to the egg. Here are the kids with the egg at the end of the experiment.

I would have to say this was successful. We cooked an egg on the road! The kids loved it and were excited to go check it out. They even asked what kind of experiment we would do next so if you have any ideas let me know!
